Past Evergreen CEO David Tsang and bean counter Sam Wong have moved out of their home in Eureka. I guess they are done with whatever business they were closing at the Pulp Mill. Too bad this whole thing ended so negatively when it started out so positive. David seemed like a straight up person and ended up a huge disappointment. He was very poor at communication and his managerial pratices were helter skelter. And he did a terrible job at closing the pulp mill in orderly fashion.
And Lee and Man? They have taken no responsibility of their cut and run tactics on US soil. Chinese companies should be bonded or at least follow US labor laws as other domestic companies have to. When they closed the pulp mill their stock was selling on the Hong Kong market at $1.57 a share. It is now selling for $9.16! And yet they will not cover past wages and medical costs that have burdened past workers at the pulp mill. They should not be able to sell paper products in the US until they make us whole!
According to AWPPW Vice President Greg Pallesen, in the last 6 years 300 pulp and paper manufacturers have closed in the US. And in the last 6 years 300 pulp and paper manufacturers have opened in China! With little environmental concerns. Think locally (close US mills) Act globally (open toxic pulp mills overseas).
Freshwater Pulp President Bob Simpson has offered to give his companies presentation to the union at local 49 headquarters in Manila. Don't know if he is doing it this week or later, but if you are not doing anything, show up Wednesday for this months first meeting.

I hope this information provides answers to the questions you have raised in this blog.
First, I have not seen or spoke to David Tsang since the middle of February. All of Evergreen's records were removed by former Evergreen staff by March 1st. Therefore, there must have been another reason David Tsang continued to rent the house in Eureka.
Greg Palleson and Tom Riley invited me to address the AWPPW. Tom sent me two email invitations. The first was to invite me and the second was to inform me that it would be best to delay the meeting so that Greg could be present. As of now, I have not received a new meeting date.
I have previously extended an invitation to Tom Riley to drop in for updates that he could foward along to your members. If Tom isn't interested, perhaps someone else could serve as a conduit. My aim is to keep you informed.
I consider the AWPPW a friend. Both Greg and John have been a huge support. We are united in our vision.
Lastly, we will soon post our business plan on the freshwaterpulp.com website. We hope this will keep you better informed.

This was just a small part of China's plan to cripple the USA by hitting us where it really hurts. They have defeated us without firing a shot, and our Federal government has not done a thing to stop it. It was well planned and well executed. China never had any intentions of treating any US businesses fairly. China, along with the Feds, have successfully crippled our economy.
US labor laws are what caused most
of this problem. Just look at all
the trouble the Car companies are

Trust me Richard, domestic companies here in the states have also pulled the same tactics in regards to avoiding W.A.R.N. pay and other forms of compensation to their former employees when a plant or mill closes.
The labor commissioner's office appears to be helpless even with these labor laws on the books.
