California Cannabis Voice-Humboldt will be hosting 35 cannabis stakeholders (People with interest or concern, in this case Board of Supervisors, Planning Department, Environmental groups, Medical Industry, Business Owners and Cannabis Farmers.) participating in a critical process that will create a Humboldt County Ordinance setting reasonable cannabis agricultural guidelines for growing. Those stakeholders will help craft the guidelines in the form of the Ordinance "on the run" while being lead by Professional Bay Area Facilitator Dr. Debrorah Pruitt. The "Draft" of the Ordinance will be created by committee with renown attorney Dorgi Roberts, a former Deputy City Attorney of San Francisco, leading the process. The "Draft" of the Ordinance will be vetted by the public with the first planned forum hosted by the Blue Lake Rancheria at the Sapphire Palace November 6th in the form of a panel discussion. My main advice would be Keep It Simple. Rather than trying to micro-manage the industry, just set some basic ground rules for what it requires for a grower to be considered fully legal in the eyes of the County.
Most important, in my view, would be dealing with the impacts on our waterways -- most notably the withdrawl of large amounts of water from already-parched watersheds during the dry season. I really don't care if someone is growing 100 plants, or 1,000, as long as they're doing so responsibly.
What time is the meeting? Is the general public invited?
The meeting is from 9am to 5pm. It is not opened to the general public. Invites were given to stakeholders and there was limited space to observers. Lots of high level cannabis policy writers from all over taking much of the spots. We want a constructive process. Not open mayhem. The Draft of the Ordinance will have many open discussions publically as it is honed down to a final product.

I guess medical marijuana 215 tenants in Humboldt County being systematically evicted now in HUD funded low-income senior and disabled housing complexes do not qualify as "stakeholders", i.e. people involved in making money off of pot. You guys need to get your priorities straight as Humboldt County Seniors and disabled are being attacked with eviction notices and harassment by property managers to get rid of them. This is happening in Humboldt County to seniors and disabled!
