My Next Door Neighbor Murdered?

Robin and I were in Fresno the last few days for an administration class for Robin. We just got home and I was informed that my next door neighbor was murdered. I do not know the particulars. And the TS and the ER had no story. I don't want to say who it is in case I heard bad information. This person was one of the original signers of my petition to run for Supervisor. I am saddened, shocked and I hope and pray for the family. Wow. Don't know what else to say.

Update: Arcata man arrested for allegedly killing friend in Trinity County

I am so sad to read this. Once family has been notified, and the person properly identified, then the police and coroner will release the info to the press.

Who knows why it was not in the papers.

Unless it's a rumor, or hoax.

My sympathies - what a shock to have something like that happen in your own neighborhood. I have learned recently from my own experience that a LOT of crime in Eureka doesn't make it into the papers, but hopefully a homicide would.

Sorry to read about your neighbor. Very strange that it is being kept quiet.
What part of Fresno did you stay in? If I would have known you were coming this way I would have loved to meet you and and your wife. I live on the way to Yosemite but Fresno is less than 45 minutes away.

Maybe a hunting accident. My neighbor and his uncle went hunting for small birds and cut firewood near Ruth. My neighbor ended up shot in the head and the uncle is supposedly in the Trinty County jail. I will wait for the smoke to clear and hear from others.

3:27pm- Stayed in Clovis. Frosty in Fresno area? Went to dinner at Tahoe Joe's on Herndon. I see there is a Farmer Brothers burger place off Herndon. Yum yum.

That's too sad about your neighbor and his Uncle, if true.

Colder out here where I live than in Clovis/Fresno. It has been 28-30a few mornings but so far our well hasn't frozen up this year. It sure sucks to wake up and have NO water for hours. Wise choice to stay in Clovis! Less crime, better police force. Tahoe Joe's used to be one of our favorite places. We go to Logan's Roadhouse more often now. I have never heard of Farmer Bros Hambergers. Foster's on Clovis Ave. and there is an Original Fat Burger on Herndon that is OK. I can't eat that much anymore, especially fried food. Fresno has a lot of really good restaurants. Best Mexican is Plaza Ventana. If you come this way again, be sure to post before so I can email you.

The news was in the newspaper this morning, including your quote, Richard. I am so sorry to hear about this and wish to offer you, Robin, and the Samoa community my condolences.

Stupid hunter, never shoot a gun without identifying what you're aiming at. Many people are violently killed every day in the state/country/world. Just because it's someone who lives close, doesn't make their death more significant than someone who lives further away. Unless you're superstitious and believe death is contagious. Or believe your personal choice of where to live should insulate you from experiencing tragic and random violent events.
