Humboldt Krud. Week 2.

I am in the second week of a cold. I can not seem to shake these ills quickly anymore. I was told to put Vicks Vapo-Rub On the bottom of Your Feet To Stop A Cough. Says it works 100% of the time. Haven't tried it yet. I have been drinking echanacia tea to calm my cough at work. I have been told Airborne works even after the fact. Anyone out there try that?

Haven't tried that. What I do try to do is eat healthy and stay away from large public gatherings.

I work with many different truck drivers. Kinda hard to stay away from germs. And the truck drivers have to bring a mill or trucking ticket for me to process. And yes, many of them carry them in their mouth.

Vick's Vapo Rub on your throat and chest can be comforting. Drinks lots of fluids and rest. Hope you feel better soon.

Richard,

Call the doctor. You don't want pneumonia. Robin, call the doctor for Richard. Richard, e-mail your boss. You have to see the doctor and you might be contagious.

Merry Christmas! You get to take a whole week off!

I'm 12 days into it myself...echinacea, goldenseal, and elderberry extract with propolis and raw honey kept it out of my chest, but I needed anti-biotics and still feel like crap --not contagious, though, so I get to go to work. Get some rest, drink liquids like carol said, and this, too, will pass.

And be sure to wash your hands regularly, throughout the day. Colds and flu are spread mostly by hand contact, or so I've been told.

Antibiotics will not get rid of a virus, but they will help if you have a bacteriological infection. Actually, washing your hands is the best preventative. Richard, if you can't wash your hands after collecting the tickets from the drivers, carry a small bottle of hand cleaner with you and use it after every ticket.

If you have been fighting this for 2 weeks, time to head to the Dr. Airborne is more preventative than helpful after you are sick. Do start carrying some hand sanitizer and use it all the time. Drink lots of chicken broth. Hope you feel better soon.

11:51-CPR. C'mon. I am trying to be good now. Just had a salad for lunch when I really wanted a Mike's Hamburger with Garlic fries and Milk Shake.

My advice is to use "neti" pot therapy. Look it up on the 'net, Moonrise Herbs sells them too.

It works well for me, to help cure sinus infections, which are the real cause of discomfort. I actually use a modified ear syringe with an isotonic saline solution, very soothing. Good Luck

Sure, CPR. Perhaps Anonymous wasn't even born in Humboldt County. Who can understand these arrogant fools, coming here and sharing their unwanted, non-Humboltarian ideas!

Vicks Vapo Rub helps knock out toenail fungus. Ask Dr. Gott.

Vicks Vapo Rub also works wonders for painful rectal itch

11:28, this is anonymous and you are wrong...I am a Humboldt County native, and I am familiar with this blog, and I know Richard does not like to eat healthy or stay away from large public gatherings, but blogging is all about expressing your opinion, and I expressed mine.

Just about all over the Humboldt Krud. My eating habits are extreme and I am working on that weakness. Just plain folk.
