I had lunch today with George W. Bush's cousin!

Ironic that on a day I hope to see former president Bill Clinton, I went to lunch with our current presidents cousin. This person has followed my blog and posted before. Any guesses who? Here is a hint. The person now lives in Humboldt County. More hints to follow.

UPDATE: I saw a old school mate today. Found out he is a distant cousin of John Edwards! What a crazy day!

Don't know who it is, but it would be great if a local news outlet interviewed him or her about Bill's visit. It would be an interesting and unusual piece.

The person was there at Clinton's speech. Just to let you know, Estelle Fennell guessed right away. A personal friend and supporter.

After hearing Clinton's speech, I am endorsing Hillary. We need a woman president!

Now we are talking "distant cousin", Richard My common ancestor with the Bush family is Experience Mitchell (born in 1611 in Leiden, Holland-died May 16 1689)

If a woman president is really so important, why not draft Condoleezza Rice? Or better yet... Anne Coulter!

An acquaintance from Crescent City that I saw at the Clinton event said "you almost had me convinced to go for Edwards, but then my estrogen won over."

Wtf? Your estrogen won over? Wow, that's a brilliant way to decide who should be the next commander-in-chief.

Voting for a woman because she's a woman is as bad as only voting for white males.

Base your choice on the issues. If you actually want a hawkish proponent of neoliberal economic policies, by all means, vote for Hillary!

The way I see it, Shane, if I vote for Hillary, it is like getting 2 for 1. With Hillary comes Bill, and 2 heads are better than one in getting this country out of this mess that we are in: the wars, the debt, No Child Left Behind, and the fact that we are borrowing money from China just to pay for the INTEREST on the national debt. I feel the Clintons sincerely care for people.

Elizabeth Edwards is also intelligent, and although I don't know much about Michelle Obama, she seems to be smart as well. They both come with their respective candidates, just like Bill comes with Hillary. And in the case of Elizabeth, she's extremely progressive and likely to influence John's views on gay marriage and other issues of importance to progressives.

Additionally, all of the Democrats have voiced concerns about "the wars, the debt, No Child Left Behind, and the fact that we are borrowing money from China just to pay for the INTEREST on the national debt."

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but I hope you recognize that the case you've made for Hillary is actually a case for any of the Democratic candidates. Why don't you base your decision on their differences on the issues? If you did that, I'm sure you would find that Hillary is the least progressive.

I agree that all the candidates agree with many of these issues. They all would make great presidents. However, I feel that Hillary does have more experience with international affairs.
