Mike Thompson pissing me off!
I do not want to be labeled as a hypocrite in this issue. Campaign Unavailable Yes, I have hunted in the past, and do partake of the meat of game kills. But, I do not support the idea of killing for just sport or trophy bagging. Especially for game on the verge of being labeled as endangered as the Polar Bear are. Polar Bear I do not know if the NRA or the Safari Club are yanking Mike's chain or how he is justifying his position, but his vote leans way to the right on this issue.

don't be a liberal sap. hunting the polar bear in it's limited form is the right managment tool and is important to traditional needs of the local native peoples. if the worst of the worst global warming fears come true and the bears begin to starve, hunting them will also be the humane alternative.quit blubbering on your teddy bear.

I am a hunter and fisherman and I am disgusted with this type of "so called" hunting.
Polar bears are losing their habitat. Period.

The other day I read about polar bear hunting being approved. I don't think there are so many polar bears that they need to be a hunting project.
I kind of agree with 8:33 am for the comments.
I don't hunt as I don't like deer, elk, bear, etc. that most people like and hunt. I think that if you kill it, eat it and that is why I don't hunt. Many years ago used to go pheasant hunting, but we ate them. Gave that up though.
I am not going to eat a polar bear but I guess there are many in Alaska that do. Don't think Thompson is going to eat one, but???

Mike Thompson will probably brag about how many polar bears he's killed, but how about the number of Vietnamese Mike Thompson killed? How many women and children did you slaughter, Congressman Thompson? It's a fair question, since Mike Thompson's sole qualification for office apparently is that he served during the Vietnam War. So how about it? How many Vietnamese men, women and children did you kill Congressman Thompson?

How did Mike Thompson serve his country by murdering innocent Vietnamese? What did the Vietnamese ever do to America? For that matter, what did the Iraqis ever do to America? You obviously have a different concept of service, Richard. The word SERVICE usually implies assistance or help being provided. Killing innocent people is not helpful or called for. I do not commend the murderer Mike Thompson. I rightfully condemn him for his disgraceful actions against the people of a nation that was never a threat to the U.S. Do you feel the need to be politically correct now that you have a seat on the Humboldt Democratic Central Committee? AIPAC is having a fundraiser for Mike Thompson down in Napa County in August. Like Thompson needs any more money.
Mike Thompson is pissing everyone off except for his true believers. It's a good thing for Thompson that the Republican Party is happy with his performance in office, otherwise they might actually run a real candidate against him. That won't happen though as Thompson is basically a Repubican on most issues.
