I was at Gerry's memorial too. I don't think I've ever laughed so much at a memorial, and laughing is the best way to remember someone. Gerry always was so excited to see my youngest son at the games, and Gerry always had a possitive word to say to my oldest son. Humboldt lost one of it's most enthusiastic fans!
Jerry was a great guy. I was stunned. Nick (my son) and his son played on the same baseball team – my husband Bobby and Nick attended the memorial at Redwood Fields today. What a heartbreaker. Jerry was always the sweetest, funniest, most fun guy around at the fields. I'll really miss his stories about everyone.
You ever know one of those guys that nobody says anything bad about?
Condolences for your friend Richard, but the above quote troubles me. Anyone who gets involved in politics is bound to be hated by somebody. I'm not sure living a life of such passivity that no one ever gets offended is exactly a worthy goal.
This post was for Gerry Radford.
Are you deleting posts again Richard? How sad. We expect more of you. I'm sure Gerry wouldn't disagree.
