Props from Dennis Mayo.

Mr. Mayo wrote an guest opinion to the ER that was kind to this writer. The Eureka Reporter - Article I have taken enough pot-shots for expressing my Democratic right to run for public office from my own Democratic party, so it was good to hear someone at least acknowledge I have done some good for the working class. Thanks Dennis. I did not realize that Past Green Party Presidential Candidate David Cobb had taken issue with me. I must have missed that article by Mr. Cobb. Oh my, how many have I upset along the way recently. Really, I do not have too many enemies in my circle of acquaintances. Most have just come from this last run at County Supervisor. I ran for this position eight years ago with pretty much the same results and there was no backlash. I just kept doing what I was doing as member of the Humboldt County Democratic Central Committee. Times have changed and so has the local political climate. It has become a nasty ordeal. Too bad.

I Respond: And you ask why people want to post anonymously. It's a form of camoflage.

3:30pm- That is fair. It is sad then besides too bad. I guess these last close elections will not be of any help. Seems to me there will be more division as opposed to consensus.

Dennis Mayo said...."Mr. Cobb, I’ll invite you to come and walk a day in my shoes (ankle braces included), and when we flop in front of my fire at night, I’ll bet you have a different perspective if you try speaking for the working guy again."

Thanks, Dennis. I couldn't agree with you more. Mr. Cobb, represent someone else!

Fortunately, the voters know the working people from the career politicians Richard.

You will prevail, but stop fighting windmills and stay local where we know you. Don't go up against a popular Democrat like Wes Chesbro-he's a real Democrat it isn't like runnning against Bonnie!

Give us voters another chance? How about city council-care to move to Kerrigans district? You'd be swell.

Kerrigan doesn't even live in his own district....besides, haven't we just elected an Arcata guy?

Why play by the rules when no one else does?

I'm thinking Richard should apply for Virginia's seat. It will be empty soon.

Kerrigan does live in his ward. I live in the 4th ward and Chris is my neighbor.

May the EKA City Council should change where the council members are supposed to live and just let anyone run from anywhere. Of course, that just happened with Arcata Guy. Maybe he will have to move to Eureka now on a full time basis. Maybe if Virginia gets elected as Mayor she can appoint someone from Garberville.
