Mayor debate on KEET.

I definitely feel that Virginia Bass was the best on this forum. She seemed well prepared and looked right into the camera while delivering her message. I found some of Peter comments entertaining. He was asked on what he had done to bring in jobs that pay a living wage. He pointed out big box Target! What was he thinking? He also talked about proposed jobs. When talk came up about a police review board Peter said that after the Cheri Moore incident that people were "gun shy" about the subject. Couldn't he find better words to describe this? Droz has this great idea of planting redwood tress down the Broadway, but anyone who has had a redwood tree on their property knows that would be a toughy. All in all it was a good watch.

So are the Progressive Democrats of Humboldt going to endorse Bass? Or anyone?

The PDA has no immediate meeting scheduled to endorse anybody. At least none I was invited to. It better happen soon if it will happen this election.

10:58 You blog troll-are you running all over with the same post?? WHAT_A_MORON!

Anyone with half a brain is going to vote Bass and send Peter back to his office at RCAA to click and drag more down and outers to Eureka!

Did the Times Standard do their questions on auto? There is no way sane and sober people can pick Peter LaValle as our next mayor!

Virginia Bass had that debate nailed. She has a handle on the issues, represents all Eurekans by studying the issues before she has her mind fixated ie Peter. Virginia is a worker, employer, for living wage jobs.

Bass is in complete contrast to Peter LaVallee's 'Bedroom Community' idea: House the poor, rake in the bucks from grants and state Welfare, don't worry, be happy!

Virginia Bass is in reality...The ONLY CHOICE!

Hey, if you want to take pot shots at me, please do not include other people in the mess. I will have to delete those comments. The TS has lost some credibility on their endorsements. Not just my observations.

Times-Standard in the recent past:No on T,Rex Bohn,George Bush,I won't go further.Jones over Nan,huh, they support the laziest incumbant of them all.Nan is having a fundraiser this Wednesday at Old Town Coffee and Chocolates starting at 6:30pm.Lila Nelson will be playing. Some of you Nan critics should show up and talk to her personally before making judgements.

Here is pretty much what the TS said: The incumbants are doing a good job but they must go, oh except the one who has no time to do council work and seems the least interested. We'll endorse him! What is the TS saying about Nan?

8:01,I took that little blurb about Mike's performance as more of a shot against those who live in the 5th ward, basically saying that those voters were generally apathetic,so Mike fits in well with those constituents.Nan and I both have been knocking on doors and talking to folks in that area fairly extensively. And she plans to set up a table on Saturdays so constituents passing by can discuss issues with her,a complete contrast to Jones's outreach.I guess the paper was saying that Nan would be too much of a shock to that area.I honor their right to have their own opinions and make their endorsements based on that, but I thought the reasons they explained for endorsing him were disingenous.

People need to vote after making up THEIR OWN minds...

So now you engage in censorship Marks? I had such high hopes for you but you don't look so progressive after all. Flemming vote can be justified, but Bass? No way is that anything but propping up a corrupt cartel-friendly puppet of the Repug centcom.

549...do you know Virginia??

Way to depersonalize things so you can launch unwarranted personal attacks.

At least Virginia goes out and talks to her constituancy...

She hasnt attacked anyone, just talked issues...

way to go, your really credible

T-S lost 'SOME' credibility Richard...did they ever have any at the Sub Standard?

5:49- Your comment is so confusing, I don't know how to respond. Dummy it down for me. I am a mill worker you know. I deleted an item that used another persons name badly. Take pot shots at me all day, just don't include others who do not want to be included.

Baas - it's should be clear = she's taking grant ( Government ) money to fund her campaign . Look at the facts ; She has done nothing for , Eureka . LIEvallee is tied to the rcaa along with the Times - Standard and Bass , Neely , Wolford , Geist , Rodinin and the rest . Don't be fooled by all the signs . Vote for the only clear choice - Vote; Jerry Droz
