I am seeing abnormal behavior with the local pelicans. They seem to be more active in flight over the Samoa bridge and along the Samoa oceanside. This has escalated in the last few weeks. How does this tie in with softball? It does not, just curious.

Well, there's gobs of those little "bait" fish littering the shorelines, which is why we have so many pelicans (and seals, sea lions, etc.). But I don't know what causes the influx of those fish or exactly what they are. Herring? Smelt?
I love all the pelicans, though.
anchovies I believe. I have seen huge runs of those in the past, but not the abnormal flight patterns for the Pelicans. I will have to keep watching.
Yeah, that's what I was going to say: Global Warming.
