Edwards slipping in Iowa.

Looks like John Edwards has slipped to maybe 3rd place in Iowa on his quest for the Democratic presidential nomination. Lost in the Cornfields I am holding out hope, but losing my optimism. Hillary is starting to look pretty unbeatable.

That is sooo shameless, Rich, that you don't have any principles. You just want someone to win.

You shameless, partisan guy!

Did you see that Edwards came out against the Peru trade agreement? Neither Clinton or Obama did. That will likely help him in Iowa, as will his union endorsements, but right now it's not looking like enough. If Clinton wins the primary, I will seriously consider voting third party or not voting.

Richard, of course he is doing bad, he is trying to be engulfed into the party for their push for supremacy...

Hillary should do fine but really don't consider her winning the presidency...

Maybe we should have Queens like the Brits--we could always hail to something no matter what.....

All fun intended, there are others who may have a chance.....

Oh. Peru.

I forgot Peru.

Hillary will be the next president unless the Republicans can manage to nominate Giuliani, and even then the odds are in her favor. The only chance the Republicans have is if the public buys into the sell that we're defeating the opposition in Iraq and peace is just around the corner AND the economy doesn't tank between now and the election.

Edwards was the only candidate I've given money to. But if heartbreak is invevitable I'll sure take Hillary over Rudy.

I'd really have to think about that one. Considering how authoritarian Rudy is starting to sound, I might too. But I'd really have to weigh all the pros and cons. I'd take any of the Democratic contenders - even Biden or Gravel - over Clinton.
