Over 35% of the people in Chico can afford to buy a house and over 27% of Redding residents. That is according to new affordability index reports. What are we over here in Eureka? 12%? I wonder why the huge disparity. Check out Redding.com.

Redding prices ARE pretty reasonable and the job market is red hot. I know someone who moved over there and got a job in one day, recently. Also it depends how they're defining the area. Housing in Anderson and other Redding 'burbs is even cheaper. Redding will always be more prosperous(more jobs, better wages) because of one factor- they're on I-5.
Also know people who moved to Redding that couldn't buy a house here but could there. Husband makes better money now that they moved. He actually had applied for a Home Depot job there a while back as the pay was better than at the timber co he was working for.
redding is 110 degrees all summer long......some people prefer the coast.......eureka is becoming more of a retirement community and less of a manufacturing community......things are as they are, just accept it....who are we to say it should be any other way?
Coastal communities are always more expensive. We have milder weather, better views, beaches and mountains all within minutes. Who wants to work outside in Redding in the summer heat?
Kind of ironic that I met with community leaders this weekend in Trinity County over the possible run at the 1st District Assembly seat. I have a coalition of Democrats willing to help in Weaverville. Some people from Ukiah possible also.
I personally know (Not all on the political) many people in the North Coast.
Superhero's don't kill. We bring people to justice. I for one know Nick Bravo to be a superhero of good character and excellent judgement. Certainly many such as charles do not want to succeed, they only want Nick Bravo to fail. Nick has gone through a great deal and while his enemies are almost as numerous as mine he shall ultimately conquer them.

Redding sucks. Humboldt rocks. By the way, Richard, are you going to challenge Cheese-bro or what?
Coastal communities are always more expensive. We have milder weather, better views, beaches and mountains all within minutes. Who wants to work outside in Redding in the summer heat?
I'll kick you're ass (politically) Richard! Don't get in my way!
Fuck you Wesley. What kind of pansy ass name is "wesley"?
Kind of ironic that I met with community leaders this weekend in Trinity County over the possible run at the 1st District Assembly seat. I have a coalition of Democrats willing to help in Weaverville. Some people from Ukiah possible also.
I personally know (Not all on the political) many people in the North Coast.
Seriously Richard! I will crush you between my oversized butt cheeks. Do not run! Do not Run!
Hey Wessie boy. Why don't you come out to the dunes with me. We can hunt for crabs and sleeper waves.
I'll help you Richard! Together we can beat Wesley like a spoiled teenager beats their grandmother when said teenager needs money for booze.
You'd know quite a bit about beating on old women wouldn't ya charley.
Quit sticking up for that loser, that girlyman Charles deserves what he gets. Fuck him.
Anon 8:22, touch charles and very bad things will happen.
P.S. I know you're not nick bravo.
I concur. Nick Bravo is quite a remarkable force for truth and justice.
Nick Bravo makes me hot but everytime I see Bravo De Christos I am overcome with feelings of lust and want to...*blush*.
Richard, are you awake or what?
Richard, you need to delete all these comments that make nick bravo look good.
You are sure Johnny on the spot for someone totally innocent, Nick.
just delete this whole litany of abusive crap already.
2:04pm-Yes I am awake- Excuse me, I am working a 72 hour week. I do this part time. What do you do, and how many hours do you work?
Mark, maybe you should consider comment moderation. You have too much real world stuff to deal with to take time policing every idiot anon comment.
The comment moderation seems to be working for Eric...
Comment moderation is for cowards. And Wes Chesbro is worthless. Run, please.
Thereby implying that Carson (joel meilke) Park Ranger, and Heraldo are worthless cowards. Thank you Anon for proving my point.
What? Heraldo doesn't moderate comments. You make no sense 4:38PM.
I worked 72 hours. Weiner winer whaaaa!
