Slime Ball Dole Corporation hires illegal aliens and hides behind legal Loop Holes!

Yes, there is a sweep going on in America against illegal immigrants who have been actively producing to our global and national economy for years. How does a manufacturing plant of 600 only able to account of 48 workers being legal citizens? FOXNews.com - Immigration Officials Arrest 100 Illegal Workers in Raid on Oregon Food Plant - Local News News Articles Na... Oh, and they put their hands up in shock, saying they did not hire them, but hired an outside hiring agency to take responsibility. Weak! Corporations need to take in the responsibility as well as the profits!

This is a common practice and I have had working experience in trying to organize places just like this all over the west coast. It puts labor at a terrible disadvantage. Workers just want to work, and then are oppressed by the legal system and have no recourse when they are violated against wage and benefit wise by greedy corporations.

Locally the TS does a good job on showing how these topic affects Humboldt County. Times-Standard Online - Immigration sweep stuns Fortuna No matter how you feel on this subject, it is a humanist look the problem. And it touches all of us north of the border.

It's nice of Dole to hire immigrants here, since they've done more than their share to make it impossible for workers to make a living in their native lands down south.

I have no sympathy for illegals that get fake social security cards for $50 in San Francisco. If you want to live in the U.S., then get do it right and earn your citizenship like my grandparents did 100 years ago.

Don't need San Francisco for that, you can get them here in Eureka.I wonder if the authorities will wait until the Oyster Fest is over before going into Coast Seafood.

Turn on your scanners. Dead body found in Arcata Community Forest. Has anyone heard from Bravo lately?

"...like my grandparents did 100 years ago."

Your grandparents probably wouldn't be able to get in legally now.

CPR-Isn't that the truth! My grandfather would not have been able to make it from Germany, but my Mother had relatives in the Sioux or Dakota/Lakota/Nakoda nation, so they were here way before. Our children are rolled Native Americans and are part Irish/Swede/German/Cherokee/Sioux. Yes my family is the American mutt.

You are wrong, CPR, because they had the determination to do it, and to do it the right and legal way!

An absurd assertion on the face of it. All it took back then was a one-way ticket. How do you know that they would have had the perseverance and the cash to get here legally today?

Back off CPR, you didn't know my grandparents, and I did. They had more class (and brains) in their little finger than you do in your entire body!!!!!
