Mary Beth Wolford hired as Superintendent/Principal of Peninsula Union School District!

Mary Beth is taking over our humble school district at Samoa! I see this as great news. She had experience galore, and will hopefully shepherd in a new era of expansion here on the peninsula. We have huge room for growth here in Samoa and Fairhaven with potential projects on the table. Hopefully many new young couples will be raising their children here on the sand! I will help Mary Beth in many volunteer capacities and am really happy she will be here! Good news!

(Update: I guess my blog was read by local media, and they called Mary Beth for the news. The Eureka Reporter - Article Times-Standard Online - Former councilwoman takes school post

I love the part about her wanting to repair the Ball Field. And guess what? Today a Danco crew was at it working on the field! Good things happening. And we need good news here in Sand Land!)

Wow Richard you seem happy for a change, nothing like having fun in the dunes...

Welcome Mary Beth--- will be a nice change on the Peninsula...

So, who else wants to be a sand dweller?

Awesome news. Wondered what happened to MaryBeth.

She needs a recharge.

Does she still look like a bird that hit the window pane?

Principal. But, I'm sure she has good principles.

Yes she does. Richard ,do it with her class not like Woolley. The truth is out on this sand dweller.

I have been corrected. It is Dr. Wolford. She has a EDD. I am happy for Peninsula.

Maybe Mary Beth can give Richard some lessons in spelling and puctuation.

Perhaps you didn't notice her lackluster performance as a member of the Eureka City Council.

9:52am-In 1980 the Peninsula ball field was un-useable. I personally renovated the field to be playable. Louisiana Pacific helped me with material and work crew.

I have held around 50 Tournaments at the field, Men's Slow Pitch, Fast Pitch amd Women's slow pitch. I made the priority for Little League and Babe Rith practice at the field. I also did field maintenance for the Christian League when it used the field. In the late 90's the Senior Softball players started using the field, and I again did the field prep. The Senior Softball League decided they wanted to renovate and upgrade the ballpark. They made a verbal agreement with the Peninsula Union School District and started applying for grants. They were able to put in a new sprinkler system and put a new clay infield in. The field went unused for 2 years. The Senior softball League has not paid their obligation to Miller Farms, and have not completed the work at the park. The district has been left with an $8,000 bill and I have not had the use of the field.

Two years ago I held a fundraiser for the school district. I personally once again got the field in playable condition. The Senior softball league wanted part of the revenue of the money I earned from the tournament, even though they were no help. I said no way, and have not did anything to the field since.

They have left the field unplayable once more and have done nothing to pay the bill or a clean up on the field. I finally asked recently of the Humboldt Classic Senior League to let me have their bases and equipment for the park to replace the bases and chalker they pretty much destroyed without my permission.

I have put in a request for Danco to help me once again make the field playable. I will do the work on the infield and hopefully will have it available for Wood Bat tournaments in late August.

I am a doer. Now you know the rest of the story.

No offense but you Sand Dwellers sure do whine alot. Maybe if the Sand Dwellers were able to take care of their own we wouldn't have this problem with a softball field.

Just like Eureka. They had Miller Farms redo the infields a few years ago and they are now back to their old crappy condition again due to lack of proper upkeep. Apparently the city leaders think that refurbishing an infield is all it needs; they don't understand that proper maintenance after the refurbishing is necessary to keep the field in good condition. My sincere thanks (NOT) to the City Council, Parks and Rec. Dept, and the city maintenance crews for the great job they haven't done.

Kerrigan would drink Cobb's piss if he thought it would get him elected to the next rung up the ladder.

That is to crude 12:42. It's also true.

Mary Beth did very good work at ECC. She just didn't babble on and on saying nothing but blowing her own horn like the snot nose left and the snot nose replaced.

Anonymous said...

!2:42 I agree. That comment was a real pisser.

12:55 if you think Mary Beth did good work at ECC, then you are living in a fantasy world.

Richard, are you selling wood on Myrtle Avenue? I saw a truck full of wood parked on Myrtle with a sale sign that said dry fur.

Hey Richard, why dont you tell you little blog friends about that time you you overloaded and broke a $400 dollar compostable toilette, and refused to pay for it!

Mary Beth Wolford sealed her political fate when she babbled to the papers about her family member making "$23.50 an hour" at a Home Depot in the Bay Area.

She blew her own credibility by making the inference with the local media that if a Home Depot were built in Eureka, local residents and prospective employees could expect the same wages here.

She became a laughingstock, and it was her own fault.

if being a laughing stock killed you how come kerrigan and neeley are still around

Whoever posted that Kerrigan would dring piss to get re-elected hit the nail on the head. The crap that he admitted to pulling during the last election made me sit up and think a lot. Kerrigan shouldn't run off his mouth so much when he goes out because other people at other tables can hear what he says. DURING the last election campaign the boasted that that the community was too dumb to figure out the misrepresentations that he and his crew (AKA R.Trent) made against Bohn and if they ever did it out, that it wouldn't be until after the election. A real piece of shit if you ask me.
