Best views in Eureka while eating!

Sometimes you just want to go to a restaurant with a good view that is aesthetically pleasing and the food is just an afterthought and not the main reason you are there. Here is my top 5 in Eureka. (Yes there are many good ones in the county, but that is for another day.)

What about Moonstone Grill (Merrymans's) in Trinidad?

Pretty sure that's not in Eureka

Volpi's! Oh, wait.... Lazio's! Damn.... The Humboldt County Jail! Whew...I got one.

Best views in Eureka? I think you pretty well covered it for scenes of the bay.

Although, for watching traffic and people, I suggest Adel's, Stanton's/Rita's, Velluntini's in Henderson Center, Jalisco Cafe (for the local color across the street) and Ramone's Bakery and Gabriels in Old Town.

Richard, how about the best cafe (breakfast/lunch) in Humboldt County. I have a few suggestions. One is the Eel River Cafe in Garberville and another is the Campton Heights Cafe in Fortuna. Although, McIntosh Farms Country Store on Guintoli Lane is rather nice. (Sigh...I really miss the 305 Cafe)

Waterfront Cafe. Yes, it's a nice view of the Bayfront Restaurant and also of a bunch of flags and a very stupid crooked mast that make the area look like a tourist trap.

Too bad the Cafe Marina doesn't have better food.

What?! You don't like Cafe Marina's canned green beans, boxed rice pilaf, and iceberg lettuce salad?

Seems to me like the Carson Mansion should be at the top of the list. It's so awesome having lunch near the top and being able to overlook the entire Eureka. And jail...
