I would like to see you in the office some day!
Hey Richard,
Congratulations on Virginia's win. I know you worked hard on it, and several other campaigns.
Bye bye Bonnie.Take Larry with you.
Back to reality. Virginia and I were collecting signs in Myrtletown and I was driving ol' Red (My 85 rust bucket work truck Ranger) and Virginia was taking down a sign from some supporters house and the lady says to Virginia, "that takes the glamour out of this!" It was a few blocks where Virginia and I grew up in lower and middle class families just trying to get by. You know, normal types.

Oh god Richard, please save the violin crap. Take a look at yourself in the mirror. You look pretty well damn fed to me.
8:06 PM.The reason Richard looks "well fed" is because he has never played defense on the softball field or basketball court in his life.Ask him he'll tell you as much.
wish you would have stayed at HCDCC. U were a voice of reason
Speaking of the HCDCC, its a shame they don't take this as a sign that their endorsements are NOT indicitive of rank and file dems like me. Did anyone they endorsed in Eureka win? They represent an extreme wing of the party and it's unfortunate that they have wrested control from moderates like yourself.
Rich, we need you back on the HCDCC ASAP.
I think the HCDCC is pretty much irrelevant now. We'll see what kind of slate they can come up with over the next two years, but I think most pro-business democrats will be flying solo, like Richard. Besides, I think the strong points the HCDCC had, like its network of donors and door knockers, needs to be rebuilt from the ground up anyways. That will take more than two years, and they will need some exciting and dynamic candidates to make that happen. An unknown probably.
8:43, Richard was the Secretary of HCDCC and a member of their Executive Board. His term resulted in the most embarrassing showing since Clinton left office. He backed some winners, but at the expense of people who have helped him in the past. I wonder what the future may bring...
8:56am-I made it clear while on the executive committee in the primaries that we should not endorse one Democrat over another. It is not good policy and it might come back to bite them. And it did. Virginia in a landslide. Mari Wilson changing party affiliations while embarassed by the HCDCC action toward her, a lifelong Democrat. Past HCDCC Chair Patrick Riggs said it best when he pointed out that all of this came down to one issue; the balloon tract. Having walked the 4th District multiple times in the last few years, I knew this was a key issue that reasonated with those voters. The "progressives" on the HCDCC did not see that. They do now after huge loses.
They're not just huge losses. They lost everything. In one election, 10 years of work went down the drain. Only Linda Atkins is left, the one who was given probably the least amount of hope for success when she first ran. The star player, Larry Glass, has been kicked out in a pretty embarrassing defeat. The judgment of the HCDCC is now completely verifiably BAD.
There needs to be a serious call for new executive board elections. The utter and total faliure of the current board is obvious to all. Dispite Richards repeated warnings they lost every county wide endorsement and every single Eureka endorsement. A clean sweep of losses. Sure seems like it's time fow some house cleaning. Lets hope that the only guy with some common sense a a knack for picking winners will agree to come back.
Yes. The HCDCC needs more Republican Party plants like Richard Marks on board. NOT.
Richard, you are not a Democrat. Quit lying already.
Everyone knows you're a Republican.
and it's bye bye Bonnie
5:49pm-Sour grapes. Nope social Liberal. People have claimed I am a Socialist and Conservative. Guess I am all over the Map. Let me say, I am for single-payer health, I respect a woman's right for pro-choice, pro gay rights, anti war, pro union and pro worker rights. And have advocated the above publically on record! I have been a lifelong Democrat who wants to help those in need.
