A friend of mine bought a Turbotax program but had one small problem. He did not have a computer. So he called me up and asked me to do his taxes. (I personally use John Fullerton to do mine.) My buddy is a widow made less than $30,000 last year. When it came to claim his insurance I was surprised to find out he did not have any. He had me claim in the form he could not afford it. That cost him a $352 penalty! Over 50 years of age and can't afford insurance and he has to pay over 1% of his yearly wages! That is just wrong and sick! We need single-payer health. Obama careless!

Next year if your friend doesn't have insurance it will cost even more. Every year you skip getting insurance they give you a bigger penalty.
Does your friend expect others to pay his bill if he's ever hospitalized? If so, that's very irresponsible!
Obamacare should be affordable for most. Mine used to cost $61.00 a month, but it was raise to around $82.00. Doesn't cover everything, for sure. We've got hospital bills sitting here for over $8,000. Not sure how we're going to deal with them.
I might add, you think single payer would be cheaper. They've already raisded Obamacare premiums. What makes you think SP would be any different? And you'd hsve even less choice with Sp than you do with Obamacare.
