The very first comment on the T-S blog was negative. Talk about a river of dung over at that website. Not everybody will have nice things to say about O-H's, but to each their own. I have never had a meal at O-H's, but I know some people love the place, while others will say they have had better.
All of the food critics aside, again, we are losing a part of the North Coast lore. A place that has family history. I can only take solace in the fact that the family that owns the place can no longer run the business, instead of losing too much money from lack of customers. They still have faithful customers, and if only the right economy existed, than somebody could step up and buy it.
So I say piss on the "Good Riddance" comments, and express my remorse that yet another family business will be closing its doors.

No great loss. Last time I was there the waitress was rude, and the building needed to be remodeled eons ago.
Dinner before "Senior Prom" 1973. A great evening with a friend that is no longer with us. It was the best of the best in it's hey-day. Sad to see it go. Remember the hamberger joint with onion rings up on Harris? Wasnt that the son or something? Michael's, Volpie's, Dennis & Geri's, now OH's! Where do we get a good prime rib now?
I thought the place was some kind of Chinese opium den.
I posted this elsewhere, but will post it here again.
The prime rib at OH's was good, but the best prime rib around here is at the Cutten Inn on Friday night (Blue Plate Special). They always run out though, so make your reservations for early in the evening. Best steaks are at the AA Bar and Grill. Best food is sometimes where you least expect.
I did not eat at OH's a lot, but will mourn its passing. There are a lot of memories there for many people.
I haven't been in OH's since I was 5 years old so I guess I take part of the blame for another family business closing. All in all, I'd rather have a mayor who's a small businessperson than a mayor who works for Evergreen. We need Evergreen but I'm uncomfortable about a mayor in their pocket. Is the Cutten Inn still for sale? They don't seem to be doing too much business.
We had a good meal. Lot's of positive memories. Looks like AA will be our steak place now.
