So Richard, why do you think the deal is stalled. Is there another investor out there that has yet to make a move? What is the feeling you get about why this deal can't get done? Oh, and how are the employees holding up? Have you heard anything about their status? Some must have moved on by now.

There was another offer made by a private invester who now can not raise the money since the offer was made acitate pulp has gone from $ 850.00 a ton to $ 1,300.00 a ton think of the money lost. A lot of the employees have moved on of course but some have said they would come back. Evergreen is still very interested hopefully it goes well.
It seems that Weyerhaeuser has been very reluctant to deal with Evergreen. Too bad for the workers and the local Aberdeen economy. This mill should have been up and running months ago! Evergreen was very much ready to sit down with the Association of Western Pulp and Paper Workers and have a union contract in place before they started operations. Like they did here at Samoa.
