Arkley and Glass neighbors at Bayfront One?
Probably not, but I can't seem to let go of that Arkley/Glass theme. Remember that little project at the foot of "F" street called the Bayfront One? eurekawebs.com Are you all aware how much each of these condo units are? The 7 units average over $550,000 for less that 1,000 square feet! And two have been sold! Arkley and Glass maybe? For that much you get to see the derelicts and druggies killing time and scaring away tourists on the boardwalk, or spy on the out of work fishermen living in their boats on the Marina. By the way, which one of these units has the affordable housing element?

If enough people purchase those units, it won't be long before an effort is made to "clean up" the view.

I think Rob bought two. One for Brian and one for Randy so they a place to go poop for him.Recall Larry Glass!
Maybe the Sand Dwellers should clean up the old cars in their front yards before criticizing the mainland.
Rumor has it that recall petitions for Larry will be availabe to sign this weekend at piersons, the co-op,city hall and the works. Sharpen your pencils.
Save the whales.Collect the whole set.
"Recall Glass?" What a hoot. Good luck.

You know, I don't think I have ever seen an old car in a front yard in Eureka. Eureka is a true hub of the county, so anybody living from Garberville to Willow to Orick have a vested interest in the city where we all have to come to for something at some point.

(Richard, I see you have a Fan Club too!)
I don't think you get around much in Eureka if you haven't seen front yard cars. Drive around some of the Pine Hill area. Some of it is good and some of it looks like a junk yard.
Bayfront One is one ugly building-
Someone hire a decient architect!
petition to destroy Glass? why? arkley has got that one covered already...

next time I will use the HTML tags to denote sarcasm.

It will only be by the grace of God that a tidal wave would remove the blight of the samoa penninsula from Humboldt County. It is most unfortunate when I have out of town guests that they need to be reminded of the strange little people that live on that sandbar. Besides being a haven for desease, it also blocks the view of the ocean from Eureka. I say sink it, and sink all of those creatures that dwell their too!
Here here!
Nah. Samoa makes a good speed bump for the tsunami to protect Old Town Eureka. Of course the balloon track is in the red zone and will be wiped out...I can't wait for that!
Who in their right mind would live on a big pile of sand?
Eureka is the spot the hose would be placed if it came time to give the U.S.A. an enema.

Don't get testy, sand animal. Eureka shines like the great cities of the world. You are the Favela to our Rio Di Janeiro. The Tenderloin to our San Francisco. The Eastern Europe to our Western Europe.
The dog shit stuck to our shoes...
Eureka, love it or leave it.
I stinka you reeka
Bay front One isn't remotely as ugly as the dirty creatures that loiter on our beautiful boardwalk. I can't wait until the rest of that area is redeveloped. Close down the disease we call the Mission, we're just feeding the rats down there. I constantly see tourists scared from the boardwalk, because of the dirty drifters that continuously plague our community. When will people stand up against this shit in our community? Oh yeah, one more message to the drifters/tweekers in this town: Stop stealing shit from my yard!! Also tell your friends no t to come here to beg and freakin steal!! There I said it!
I just took a stroll down near the Boardwalk and am still amazed that there is virtually no lighting on that boardwalk.
Hard to find stray crack rocks with bad lighting, eh?
Image this: So what new owner of a Bayfront One Condo is going to want to see all those sketchy characters getting shit faced on the Boardwalk? Those condos have a straight shot view of the bumbs waiting to be served by the mission. WTF is this, the middle ages? Bring out your dead and drop them off on the Boardwalk, they are the living dead. So, my hope is that the mission gets closed and further redevelopment can take place downtown, so much potential. It's embarrassing seeing tourists get scared away by the Living dead downtown, it's like tourists get caught off guard by these fuckin scum bags. I say every month we round them up, put them all on a large barge and float their asses out to sea, maybe put some cameras on the boat for a reality show, give us some free entertainment.
You know why Rob Arkley is really upset. Because his wife Cherie is a hoochie mama.
Why is it that everyone wants to create more retail and service BS mimimum wage jobs? Lets fix our transportation problems and have a way for manufacturing folks to want to come here and ceate products. You all seem to want live off the crumbs of tourists.Hell, why not just live on the street and beg. It's tax free! Most likely make more than servicing the visitors. You are in a race to the bottom. Look around, your winning!
Manufactures are never going to relocate to Humboldt County, no matter how many tax breaks you give those greedy bastards.
There are many other options though. In a high tech service-oriented economy, why are some of you trying to move the hands of time back? Get with it and deal with reality. The 1950's are not coming back, no matter how hard you pray. General Motors is not relocating to Eureka. That's what Mexico is for. NAFTA ring a bell with any of you "free traders?"
