Bush senior was right. We're suffering from "Bush fatigue."
For the past how many years...we've had a Bush or a Clinton. And now another Clinton wants power. Is anyone else reminded of the Royal Dynasty's of old.
Why don't they just declare themselves royalty and declare us their subjects?
Just got back from the Democratic Convention in San Diego. Edwards stood out as the most pro-labor, pro-worker candidate.
He said that if anybody can join the Republican party by signing a card, it should be just as easy to join a union. He also said that he wants to ban the hiring of permanent replacement workers and work toward a living wage for all Americans.
And he wants to roll back Bush's tax cuts for the rich.
He's clearly the best candidate of the top three.

Edwards addresses issues in a straightforward, unambiguous manner. He's bright, thoughtful and articulate. What's not to like?
I'm not supporting Clinton even if she ends up as the Democratic candidate. She represents everything which has gone wrong with the Democratic party.
Gee CPR, I am sorry to hear that. I would vote for the donkey if that was the Democratic party nominee over any Republican candidate I can think of. Bush may be floating at the top of the cesspool, but the whole Republican Party stinks to the high heaven these days. Friends don't let friends vote Republican.
Richardson's positions on gun control are close to mine. He also has a lot of experience in the area of international relations. But he's nowhere near as good on labor, poverty, taxes, and other economic issues. I'd vote for him over Clinton and possibly Obama. For me, Richardson and Obama are tied for second. Edwards and Kucinich are tied for first on my list. But I'll vote for "the left-wing of the possible," meaning Edwards.

You guys bash the republicans but look at the economy. How about the Dow Jones? Do you guys know what that is? "What it means?
Why not vote in Teddy Kennedy? Or Joe Biden? I can't wait for a dem to be in office again, inflation, fucked up ecomomy, and MORE crime. Oh yes won't it be grand.
If Richardson is still in the race by the time the primaries come to California, I'll vote for him. Or Kucinich.
I don't much like Clinton, but I'd vote for her over any of the Republicans this time around. Maybe if they run Pete McCloskey, but then I'd vote for him over just about any of the Democrats this time around.

Nixon would look pretty good compared to the current crop of Republicans, who have learned Reagan's successful pander-to-Christian-lunatics trick all too well.
7:10 pm: Yes, just look at the Dow Jones, then look at the earnings of the companies being traded on the Dow and you'll see that the market is way ovrevalued and heading for a big fall.
