The bill is SBX3 13. It restores some $16 million this year in funding for California's 94 community domestic shelters.
Call the governor's office in Sacramento, 916-445-2841, or in San Francisco, 415-703-2218. Also call Maria Shriver's office, 916-445-2841.
You can leave a voice message for the governor. Or if you are persistent, you can actually talk to a live person in the Gov.'s office.
Andrew: Thanks for thr information!
"Most families have experienced domestic violence."
Did you know that 37.4% of all statistics are made upon the spot?
Come on Rich. That statement is idiotic. Think about it and then stop repeating the propaganda that advocates spout.
There is enough lying by political groups without us enabling that mendacity.
call them on any issue and it will take 5 to 6 tries just to get in.
Wow. You must live in a perfect world. I just took inventory of my family, my friends families, my ex-co-workers families, and yes, most families I know have experienced domestic violence in some form. I must have grown up on the wrong side of the tracks.
The Gov. has signed SBX3 13. The shelters will get their money.
Andy: That is great news! Thanks for the updates!
