Retired pulp mill worker Carlo Giovannetti's granddaughter, Courtney Williams, has lymphoma and is having trouble finding a match for a bone marrow transplant. The test for a potential match can be done by simple swab of the mouth. This can be done at the Northern California Community Blood Bank at 2524 Harrison Ave. in Eureka. If you have time, please stop by and help.
The Times- Standard story says she has leukemia, not lymphoma. Kind of the same type thing, though. Times- Standard also got the procedure for the bone marrow transplant wrong, I believe. I made a correction in a comment to the story on Topix.
ReplyDeleteThe information I had was from a call of a fellow worker. I saw the article this morning. Either way, the word is getting out. Thanks Fred.
