The Samoa Athletic Club organized this event for Tomaso's and the theme was "Don't drink and drive!" Most of the players stayed at Camp Kimtu or close by. Tomaso's supplied water and salsa on ice in each dugout and Bien Padre donated chips. There were hundreds of people at the park over the weekend. 98% of the 120 participants had a great time. I would say that was pretty good.

ReplyDeleteBeer League Tournament goes Corporate? Say it ain't so!
ReplyDeleteIT SOUNDS LIKE IT;S SO. THE TWO MASTERMINDS I HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM,SPOKE TO ONE OF THEM, BUT NEVER HEARD ABOUT THE PLAN, IT SOUNDS LIKE IT WAS A GOOD AFAIR, HAVN'T SEEN SHIRT YET , JUST A LITTLE SURPRISED ABOUT IT ALL ,I.M GLAD THEY STEPPED UP AND MADE IT HAPPEN. AIC
ReplyDeleteAl-This years tournament was a fiasco, but it is the "beer league" championships, so I imagine next year will be a "fiasco" also. The thing is, everyone will remember this years crazyness and so it is all good. I have heard all sides of this tournament, and as long as they are all talking, it was overall good. Just crazy.
ReplyDeletePS. We all be there next year whatever the format is. We want BBQ!
MAYBE NOT ALL TEN , BUT THEN AGAIN , THE SHADOW NOSE.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all the grand puba boys did not win, it ended in a tie, it was a rain out for the championship game.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is complaining about the beer league tournament not like it was. At least we had one to play in.
Some people can't accept change. it was pretty much the same I thought with drunks, fights, the commenting peanut gallery, beer and food, sun, river and fun and dame good ballplayers and plays of the day. I thought you come to a tournament to play ball, not to complain how its run, oh i forgot thats all you do is come to complain about what is not perfect or the way you want it to be.
