The Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District voted to accept a partial payment of $80,000 to be paid by DG Energy Solutions of Fairhaven for logs they are buying from Evergreen tomorrow. California Redwood is foregoing a lien on Evergreen property for just this transaction. (Why couldn't Cal Red do the same thing to allow workers to be paid?)
Evergreen has agreed to pay the other $75,000 by next Tuesday after finalizing a financial transaction that will allow for more funds to be dispersed. Jim Lund was not at liberty to discuss the situation due to lack of information or confidentiality.
So we still do not know for sure who the new owners of the plant are.
This is putting the water district in a tough spot to do long term planning for the water district. I hope this all plays out soon.
Ruth is low, pray for rain,
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be something if we didn't have any water to run.
What discount price?
ReplyDelete4:45pm- My bad. Partial payment.
ReplyDeleteThe logo on the top of this blog says sports first, but you rarely talk about any sports. What's up with that?
ReplyDeleteRichard,
ReplyDeleteWouldn't the holding company be considered the new owner?
Anon 8:18, read the header in the green bar. it covers all of what rich's blog covers. And to me it looks like he has all the bases covered.
ReplyDelete8:18am-I originally started this blog as a information source for adult softball. I usually play year around and give updates and results on softball and basketball.
ReplyDeleteIn August I tried to lift a slide in the Evergreen chip dump at an weird angle and pulled something in my wrist. (I tore cartilage) I tried to keep playing both Softball abd Basketball but I could not bend my wrist. So a swinging or throwing motion just hurt. Shortened my Softball season and pretty much wiped out playing Basketball in league or tournaments.
Either physical therapy will get me back in action, or I will have surgery. But that is why I haven't reported on my playing or updates.
I have covered high school and CR football, and will start doing B-Ball probably this weekend when the Arcata High Invitational is happening.
9:13am-Jim Lund publically said at last special water board meeting that David Tsang is still the CEO of the pulp mill and Davis is still in contact with China. So who is Worthy Pick then? Got me. Rumors are flying about a new organization purchasing the mill that is US related. (Domestic)
The green bar is what I was looking at Rambo. It says sports first, politics next. What are you smoking?
ReplyDeleteAnd should I point to all the blogs he has had on here about sports? Right now I think the stuff Rich is putting on the blog is way more important then sports and his header does say there will be politics on here. Oh, I don't snoke no more, but when I did I always supported the local farmoer in Gagerville. ;)
ReplyDeleteLighten up Rambo! How about those Warriors.
