Thanks for this perspective, Richard. Out here they are bringing the livestock to high ground.
There was five big rigs blown over on the Richmond-San Rafael bridge yesterday.
It's a big ole bitch to keep a empty upright in heavy wind. Even with 15 thousand in the box, it's still tricky.
San Francisco area really got the high wind. 70 MPH on the Golden Gate bridge. I have had trouble with wind just over 45 MPH in a car. Can't imagine being on the bridge with wind that high. Seems like it is worse when you are high up in the air.
Most truck drivers lucked out and did not have to "throw iron" (chain up) last night. I heard of cars on 299 in pretty scary situations. Lots of snow over the hills. I get updates pretty regular all night on conditions first hand at work.
