There is at least one more out there who may be announcing their candidacy for the 2
nd District Supervisor seat shortly. No not me! One who is involved in labor. Lives in Rio Dell. Who else besides those 4? Stephen Lewis? John Campbell? Mel Berti? How about Larry Martin? Now that would be entertaining meetings.
Would this new candidate be Steve Harris?
ReplyDeleteI thought Steve Harris moved out of the county?
ReplyDeleteSteve still lives in the county. He is considering this race. May be 6 or more by the time all is said. No way Rodoni avoids a runoff.
ReplyDeletehe has lived here a few years long enough to solve all opur problems
ReplyDeleteEric! You win the prize. Steve Harris is the next in line for announcement. But I have a feeling there will be more. Maybe 8 total. Heck, Steve might not be the only Steve in this race!
ReplyDeleteExcuse me. Maybe 3 Steve's!
ReplyDeleteWho's going to run against Woolley and Smith? I hear lots of rumors about Woolley challengers, but none for Smith.
ReplyDeleteI have heard rumor of Richard Mostranski against Woolley in the 3rd. Maybe Jake Pickering?
ReplyDeleteNobody running against Jimmy Smith. He is a lock.
Jimmy is my favorite, for sure. Salt of the earth kind of guy. Nothing to dislike, as far as I can tell.
ReplyDeleteNobody running against Jimmy Smith. He is a lock.
ReplyDeleteHe certainly is if nobody runs.
I'm sure Arkley would be happy to pay for Mostranski's entire campaign
ReplyDeleteThen again there is another race out there that is getting no attention..
ReplyDeleteHow many Sups are up for re election...
Should be a great Winter.......
Maybe Rex Bohn against Smith
ReplyDeleteRun Rex Run, it would be fun to bitch slap him again!
ReplyDeleteRex will run for something, either city council or the board. With Virginia now working with Rex at the pulp mill, that'll hurt him running for council. And there's no way he'd beat Jimmy. He has a lot of support.
ReplyDeleteNot that it matters and not that I am a supporter of his but after getting beat up so bad in that council election why does Bohn still do so much for this community. Go figure.
ReplyDeletePeople run for city council because they feel they can improve their community. Just because they lose does not necessarily change those beliefs.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Steve the old Pulp Mill CEO will run. Do you have his number Richard?
ReplyDeleteJust because they lose does not necessarily change those beliefs.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but Bohn didn't just lose. He got clobbered.
Actually Eric I was referring to Anon 7:00's comment "why does Bohn still do so much for this community."
ReplyDeleteRex was a good community activist before he ran for city council, and has continued to do so afterward. So you lose (or even get 'clobbered' as you put it) but you don't let this keep you from continuing to work to improve your community. I respect Rex for this. We need more people like him.
Yeah, no problem with that. I wish he'd taken a little bit of a higher road during the campaign, but it is what it is.
ReplyDeleteI can not understand why anyone would want to thrash Rex. For what? His service to the community? The tireless effort he puts forth to give our youth something to do? For his charity time raising money auctioneering? And I have witnessed other out of the media kind deeds.
ReplyDeleteJudge him by his works and then look in a mirror and ask yourself if you are worthy to give him anonymous pot shots.
Do you know why Chris Kerrigan defeated Rex Bohn, other than the ridiculous amount of money Kerrigan spent in that race? Because most people do not want to vote for a guy named Rex Bohn = King Dick? Isn't Cheney already President?
